Going live

Your bot starts in draft. In draft it works fully in the playground but refuses to answer on your website — so you can set it up without a half-trained assistant talking to customers.

What you need before it will go live

Two things are required, and the dashboard will not let you switch over without them:

  1. Some knowledge. At least one source that finished reading, or one saved answer. A bot with nothing to say would only ever say "I don't know", which reads as broken.
  2. Somewhere to send people. A fallback message, an escalation contact, or both. When the assistant cannot help, your customer needs a way to reach a human.

Two more are strongly recommended, and shown as unticked boxes rather than blocked:

  1. Business details at least 80% filled. These are the most-asked questions.
  2. A few test questions run. Ask it what your customers ask before they do.

Flip the switch

Overview → Go live. The change takes effect immediately — the widget on your website starts answering on the next page load.

Restrict it to your own domains

Under Install → Restrict to your domains you can list the domains allowed to run your bot. Once you add any, a copy of your code pasted on someone else's site stops working.

Your bot link and QR code keep working regardless — they run on our own page, which is always allowed.

Add your domain after you have confirmed the widget works. Testing a locked bot from a staging domain you forgot to list is the most common false alarm we see.

Turning it off

Overview → Switch to draft at any time. The widget stops answering immediately and shows a neutral "chat is not available right now" message — your customers never see anything about drafts or dashboards.
