Your menu or services

Give the bot your menu, price list or services and it answers from them — "how much is the paneer tikka?", "anything vegetarian under 200?", "do you do root canals?" — and shows the items as cards with photos under its answer. The same list is what customers order or book from, once you switch those on.

It lives under Menu in the dashboard. A clinic or a salon sees Services, a shop Catalog: the name follows your business category. Nothing here is needed to go live, and a bot with a menu and no other knowledge is a working bot.

Add your items

Add them one by one with Add item, or bring in the list you already have under Import:

  • Photos of your menu or price list — up to six at a time, taken straight on, in good light.
  • A document or spreadsheet — a PDF, a Word document or a CSV. A CSV is read exactly as written; Download a CSV template shows the columns.
  • Paste text — copied from your website, an online menu or a message.
  • From your Train sources — read from the website and documents your bot already knows.

An import never goes straight to customers. Every item it finds becomes a draft. Check the names and prices under Review drafts, fix what was misread, then Publish. An item whose price could not be read is flagged; publish it without one and customers are told the price is on request.

What an item holds

  • Name and Price. A dish that comes in sizes gets Options instead — Half and Full, S, M and L — up to six, each with its own price. Tick This is a starting price ("from") for a quote that depends on the case, as an implant does.
  • Description. The bot reads the first 240 characters, so put what matters first. A price written inside a description is never repeated: the price field is the only price.
  • Section, such as Starters or Breads, a Photo, and for food the diet mark, spice and allergens.
  • ★ Recommend this. Recommended items lead the Popular row and the "menu" reply.
  • For a service: how long it takes in minutes, and Customers can book this in the chat.

Each item is Published, Draft or Hidden. Only published items reach customers. Sold out today keeps an item listed but stops it being ordered; the bot says it is sold out.

What customers see

  • The Popular row under your welcome message: your recommended items, the ones customers order most first, then other best sellers. Switch it off in Settings with Show popular items when the chat opens.
  • The menu button in the chat header: every published item by section, with a search box.
  • Cards under answers: the items the answer names, with today's price and photo.
  • "Menu", "price list" or "what do you sell" typed on their own: the Popular items and a button to browse everything. This needs no AI and is never counted as an answer.

How the bot uses it

Prices, options and whether something is sold out come only from this list, and they win over a price written anywhere else, such as an old page on your website. The bot never adds prices up — the cart does that.

A question with a condition — a diet, a price limit, "cheapest", "most popular" — is checked against every published item, not just the ones nearest the question, so "anything vegetarian under 200?" on a menu of 150 dishes gets all of them. Mark each dish's diet for this to work: where most dishes carry no mark, the bot is told so and judges by name and description.

Once orders come in, they shape the list too: the Popular row puts what sells first, once three different customers have ordered it, and an item shows what goes well with it — the dishes five or more different customers have ordered with it over the last 90 days. Only orders you accepted count. Customers see an order of items, never how many were sold.
