What's New
The latest updates to Keyda across iPhone, iPad, Mac and Android.
Keyda 1.5.7 is free with your own API key, and brings a redesigned AI assistant, context-aware autocorrect and a faster keyboard. Update from the App Store or Google Play to get everything below.
Version 1.5.7
August 2026
Free with your own key
- Bring your own API key and use Keyda free — no plan needed.
- New 3-day trial with 100 AI calls, no card required.
AI assistant
- Redesigned chat view.
- A shared chat link now opens that chat instead of a new one.
- Clearer message when you share a chat with someone.
- Image attachments work again, and files are compressed before upload.
- Clear Chat History now clears every chat and session.
- Hold a message to copy it.
Keyboard
- Autocorrect now reads context — "hoe are you" becomes "how are you", where a spell-check alone can't help.
- + Keep a flagged word to add it to your dictionary so it's never corrected again.
- Swipe backspace to clear, and swipe back to undo it.
- Clipboard is now the first tab in the library.
- No more flicker when switching to Keyda.
- Smoother scrolling and a more reliable close button in the library.
- Real icons for Notes and Documents in place of emoji.
Notes & Documents
- Text and drawings now sit as blocks on the same page.
- AI replies arrive as real formatting — bold, lists and tables.
- Pasted text keeps its formatting.
Stickers
- Generate stickers with AI.
- Add packs straight to WhatsApp.
Also
- An error from one integration no longer shows up on another.
- A cancelled on-device model download no longer looks installed.
- Keyda for Mac checks for updates and downloads them for you.
- On Android, AI usage, permissions, voice settings and the Library now match iPhone.
Version 1.5.2
July 2026
Connect Linear and Jira
Link your Linear or Jira workspace and ask about your work in plain language — "what's assigned to me?", "what changed this week?" — right inside the Keyda assistant. Pick a tool in the assistant's AI source menu and replies use your live issues automatically, so you don't have to describe your board before asking about it.
- Connect, manage and disconnect workspaces in Settings → Integrations. Disconnecting deletes the access Keyda stored, and you can reconnect any time.
- Connected GitHub accounts can now be disconnected from the same screen.
- The assistant always shows which tool a chat can see, so you're never guessing where an answer came from.
- Keyda only reads your work to answer questions — it never posts or changes anything in Linear, Jira or GitHub.
Work-tool answers are generated by Keyda's cloud AI. If you're using your own API key or the on-device model, the assistant will tell you why it can't read your issues in that mode.
Draw anywhere in Notes and Sketch
- Pen, eraser and colour tools in both Notes and Sketch.
- Separate Type and Draw modes, so writing and sketching no longer interfere with each other.
- Ink now stays inside the page instead of overlapping your text, and two-finger scrolling keeps working while you're in Draw mode.
- More reliable undo and redo while drawing.
- A clear Save action, plus a prompt before you leave with unsaved work — no more losing a note to an accidental swipe.
Keyboard fixes
- The emoji, tone and AI panels now size correctly when the number row is turned on — previously they were stretched a row too tall and pushed the app's content up.
- The Settings tab inside the keyboard's library panel scrolls properly, and its buttons no longer fire while you're scrolling past them.
- Option descriptions, including Hindi transliteration, are shorter and no longer cut off mid-sentence.
Faster and steadier
- Settings opens noticeably faster — it was doing avoidable work every time the screen redrew.
- More reliable sticker pack sharing to WhatsApp.
- Stability, privacy and security improvements throughout the app and on our servers.
Version 1.5.1
July 2026
Keyda for Mac
Your whole Keyda workspace now runs on the Mac — Notes, Documents, Sketches and the AI assistant, signed in to the same account and synced with your phone. There's also an optional, off-by-default System-wide Writing Check that can underline spelling mistakes in any app once you turn it on and grant Accessibility permission — it runs on your device and always skips password fields. (Keyda for Mac is distributed as a notarized download.)
Draw in your notes with Apple Pencil
Notes now has a Type and a Draw mode. Type with the keyboard as usual, then tap the pencil button to sketch, annotate and handwrite with your finger or Apple Pencil — ink and text live on the same page. Notes also picked up real undo/redo and cleaner paper styles.
Type in Hindi & Hinglish
- Hindi transliteration (Beta): type Hindi phonetically in English letters — "namaste" becomes "नमस्ते" as you go — with smart English/Hindi mixing so your English words are left alone.
- Hinglish-aware autocorrect: everyday romanized-Hindi words like "bhai", "kya" and "nahi" are no longer "corrected" into the wrong English word.
Voice Mode
Have a hands-free, back-and-forth conversation with the assistant: speak, hear the reply spoken back, and it re-opens the mic for your next turn. Pick the assistant's voice and speed in Settings → Voice, and dictation now preserves any draft you'd already started.
Smarter, more personal suggestions
- Learns your daily-use words: words you type often — including names, slang and other-language words no dictionary has — start showing up as suggestions after you've used them a few times.
- Always three suggestions: the suggestion bar now consistently offers a full set of choices instead of falling short.
- Instant word fix: select a misspelled word and Keyda offers correct spellings to tap right away — no AI round-trip needed — before falling back to the usual Fix / Rephrase actions.
iPad
Full landscape support — use Keyda comfortably in both portrait and landscape, with a layout tuned for the bigger screen.
More improvements
- Faster, more reliable Home search across your notes, documents and past AI chats, with a clear message when a search can't complete.
- Friendlier, clearer error messages throughout the app.
- A range of stability and performance fixes for the keyboard, Notes and the assistant.
Recent highlights
From earlier updates you may have missed:
- Share & collaborate: share notes and documents with a link, and invite up to 100 people into a shared AI chat session.
- Ask about links & files: paste a web link or attach a file and the assistant reads it to answer your question.
- On-device models: run local language and image models privately on eligible plans.
- Real-time writing assistant, one-tap actions, stickers & themes, and a browser extension for grammar fixes on the web.
